Hallo, Hallo dear hearts!
I’ve been enjoying my focused concentration of spotlighting Contemporary & Historical novelists from Head of Zeus throughout the Spring months this year. It has allowed me to select new authors to seek out and new series to feature on Jorie Loves A Story. Whilst at the same time, I’ve had the chance to interview the authors, host extracts and see which of these lovelies is available in audiobook. The latter is a bit of random joy whenever I spy one of the audiobooks available on Scribd. Some are being released digitally first for those who have a preference for reading via ereaders – for the rest of us, who traditionally read in print and/or opt for audio, we have to wait a bit longer for an edition we can read too.
This is a Contemporary Women’s Fiction novelist I am hosting today – she has several titles already published and one of them is available via Scribd for audiobook – just not this latest one but I might queue the other one soon to get a good footing into her Contemporary styling. I wanted to approach this conversation in a bit of a balance between the series of stories which are interconnected through Midhope and the interests of the author herself which we either mutually share or I found interesting to broach into the conversation.
All round – I hope you will enjoy where the conversation led and the tidbits of joy you’ll have in settling into a conversation set round her series, her characters and what gives her the most joy as a writer breathing life into these stories. The blog tour is currently underway – you’ll find two touring posters at the end of this post – kindly not the book bloggers who are participating and you can easily route to their posts by searching for their blogs. I’ve chosen to link to Frankie’s blog as we’re bookish friends who love mutual authors, genres and publishers! It is always a lovely surprise finding out we’re hosting the same blog tour as we truly do read in the same circles of interest year round!
Be sure to brew your favourite cuppa and enjoy this delightful convo we shared!
Sing Me A Secret
by Julie Houston
The four Sutherland sisters have all had very different paths in life, but one secret and a slighty tense production of Jesus Christ Superstar are about to bring them all back together again…
When the news that pop-superstar Lexia Sutherland is returning to Westenbury, not everyone is thrilled by the news – including Lexia. There are too many memories she doesn’t need to face – or need re-surfacing. Meanwhile, Juno Sutherland just wants a little peace and quiet.
As the local village doctor, she’s got her priorities in order; kids, job, husband, tenacious pony, a role in the village musical… So when the sexy new locum turns up – and steals her office – the last thing she needed was to be hit with rising temperatures and an over-active imagination.
Will these sisters be able to uncover the past, deal with the future and put on the performance of a lifetime?
Return to Westenbury this spring and find out.
