I am super stoked for this month’s Bout of Books!!
Seriously it is most delightful timing as I want to read the ENTIRE Reincarnationist series ahead of reading “The Collector of Dying Breaths” which hits Jorie Loves A Story on 20th of May (book review) & 19th of May (Author Interview)!! A series which has entranced my curious bookish heart for several years now, but a series I have never truly had the pleasure of sinking into until now! I cannot wait to spend a Bouter week in full absorption of M.J. Rose’s masterpiece series! The two days after Bout of Books my tour stops will be live and I could not be happier nor think of a better way of spending my 3rd Bout than wrapped inside of a series by an author I have always wanted to read! The badge above created by Parajunkee Designs is the epitome of how I will be spending my week: absolutely NO TV (save Dancing with the Stars, as quite frankly I am a bit addicted to the dancing!) for me!
I’ll take a wee bit of a break on Saturday, 17th of May as I am now a Hostess of a weekly Saturday morn tweetchat (#ChocLitSaturdays) but then, its right back into the books Bout’ers! I’ll pop on Twitter as I’m able too, but for me, I want to read, read, READ and read some more! Laughs. The wicked sweet part!? Bout of Books is a full two weeks AHEAD of #ArmChairBEA! My first ArmChairBEA to join as a book blogger, being that I have only been blogging for a year (1st Blogoversary was 31 March) and my blog celebrates its birthday (the day I went live) 6 August! Eek. Loads of happy book blogger moments happening for me this month!
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week-long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog – From the Bout of Books team
I, Jorie of Jorie Loves A Story is not only a seriously addicted reader of books which wrap me inside books which enchant my mind and murmur reflections in my heart after I put the books down, but I am a girl who is positively happy whilst caught up in the book blogosphere events which unite readers with books, and books with readers who love to chatter about why they love to read what they read! I am going to sit back and enjoy this Bout, whilst captured inside one author’s legacy of words! Giving my full devouted attention to one singular series and blocking out the hours inside a suspenseful adventure of epic proportions! I cannot think of a better way to spend the Bout, can you!?
Whose going to join me!?

My reading adventures during the Bout lead up to my tour stops during:
I will be sharing snippets of my reading adventures for all the books in the Reincarnationist series as I read during the hours of the Bout itself, but I am not going to be posting individual book reviews at this time for the entire series as I want to approach this as an immersion of bookish joy & love rather than in deep consideration of how I would reflect my reading observations per book within the heart of the series. I will save my cumulative thoughts to share in direct comparison and reflection for my book review of “The Collector of Dying Breaths” which publishes on 20th May!
The bookish badges I used during the last Bout in January
still apply to this particular Bout:
Have you read the Reincarnationist series!? And, if you have what did you love the most about the way in which M.J. Rose told her story!? Was there any one book which stood out to you as the best of the series!? Which character did you attach yourself to the best!? Are you eager & excited to read the next book “The Collector of Dying Breaths”!? What are you hoping to find in the latest book and what did you love about her style as she carried the series forward thus far forward!?
Two books of this series count towards my Chunkster Challenge Goals:
- The Reincarnationist (Book 1: Reincarnationist series) by M.J. Rose* (464 pages)
- The Memorist (Book 2: Reincarnationist series) by M.J. Rose* (464 pages)
