Hallo, Hallo dear hearts!

Thank you for stopping by to check out my schedule for this year’s Sci Fi November Event! I’ve been wicked excited about this month for most of the year, as I have been wanting to dig back inside Science Fiction ever since last year’s event concluded where I wasn’t able to read as much sci-fi as I had hungered after to devour! This year, despite the fact my schedule is loaded with a heap of lovelies to read & review, I will also be blogging special featured topics & subjects inter-related to Science Fiction, Sci-Fantasy, and Speculative Fiction as a whole!

I want to have a bit of fun this year – therefore, I have purposely chosen a LOT of sci-fi to read and share throughout the month of November! I have a lot of exciting things in store and cannot wait to share them with you! As always – this page is your reference guide to what “Jorie is posting during #RRSciFiMonth!” Be sure to bookmark this page if you want to repeat your visits throughout the month, as I will be posting multiple times a week at various hours whilst tweeting and visiting the other bloggers who are helping to make this event become the special joy it is for each of us who geeks out on science fiction!

I look forward to your conversations & comments – all my posts are open to commentary and I never use CAPTCHA! Some of the reviews this year are anchoured to past reviews, which is why you’ll see the referenced reviews linked here for your ease of reading the previous story ahead of the new! I am finishing my readings on several series this year, whilst seeking out new frontiers to explore, as I did a ‘spontaneous grab’ of science fiction at my local library of books or short stories I felt might be of interest to me! I’ll be putting together a special post about those #libraryreads similar to the #25PagePreview I wrote where I spoke about Neil Gaiman’s shorts!

Join me as I adventure through worlds of science and science fiction whilst dipping into a well of sci-fantasy as November graciously gives us all a reason to shout our giddiness for SCIENCE FICTION! Continued gratitude to Rinn @ Rinn Reads for allowing us the pleasure of coming together and spending a month focused on a genre that we all find ourselves passionately happy to see arrive each Autumn!

You’ll notice some of my reviews and posts have a specific date attached to them; most of my posts will be spontaneously arriving on #JLASblog throughout the month, as I am going to be reading whilst tweeting my readings ahead of going live with the reviews themselves! Be sure to follow me on Twitter if you want to see what I’ll be sharing! If you do follow me, send me a ‘hallo!’ found you via #RRSciFiMonth and eager to see what you will be reading! I will be using a few tags during the month, including the events but also: #JorieReads & #FuellYourSciFi which are my personal tags.

I might even ‘add’ a few surprises along the way! You just never know! This is the year Jorie gets to geek out again on sci-fi like she did in 2013! This is my 4th Sci-Fi November and I’m looking forward to embracing everything the event can yield – from Twitter convos, to blog visits, to random convos with other bloggers, to commenting and posting regularly here on Jorie Loves A Story! Let’s rock this!

Please note: Most of my posts were held back until the week of the 15th – I lost my footing and concentration for approx. a week and then I started to get back into the groove with my postings! I appreciate your patience whilst I took some time to work on my posts and feel jazzed again about this lovely event I truly love being a part of!

JLAS Features in Conjunction to SFN:

As per annum since 2013, November marks a beautiful gateway for me to re-open the door to science fiction, as following straight on the heels of Sci Fi November is the Sci Fi Experience! You’ll denote this year during SFN I’m going to create a post about ‘which books’ should I read during SFE as a way to gauge which books my readers and visitors have already come to love themselves or at the very least to look out for books that may not yield to an experience I was hoping to find. It will be a bit of interactive fun as there are a heap of lovelies I’m planning to read during December and January! Be sure to visit Stainless Steel Droppings for details around the end of November/start of December!

  1. Hi! I’m a first-time participant in sci-fi November and really looking forward to all your reviews and posts. I like how you’re focusing on different topics within the genre.See you around the place. :)

    • Thank you, sweet Rinn! :)

I fell a day or so behind on where I wanted to be right now, but this coming week I have a heap arriving on my blog to where you’ll start to see me wink on Twitter quite a bit! Laughs. I am also setting up my own #RRSciFiMonth road-map to travel to different blogs and start to regularly engage with my fellow bloggers! November is such a happy month for me since I’ve discovered your lovely event! To be honest, I’m thankful I can *celebrate!* Sci-Fi rather than feel the anxiety of Nanowrimo all over again! Once was enough for me on that score! Sci-Fi rules my Novembers forevermore!! Big cheers!

And, hugs to you regarding your migraines. We each have chronic migraines then, mine came in droves in my twenties even though I had chronic tension headaches before the migraines took over. I had a 10 month hiatus before they returnt in the Spring (2016), too. One day I am hoping to extend that hiatus to where the frequency lessens even further. I’ll keep you in my thoughts that you’ll have a reduction of them, too.At least you know we share a misery together.

    • Hallo, Hallo Mr Hill,

Thank you for your enthused reply! :) I am thankful you’ve found me this year! Esp since you caught my tip-off that this year I can finally read The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet!! I submitted a purchase REQ to my library and they accepted it! Tonight I learnt there is a sequel – I believe you commented on that post as well – if you decide to read it this month, you can join me! I’m going to ask other readers who’ve been curious to read this title to join me! I’ll make the announcement on Twitter first and then on my blog – otherwise, you’ll enjoy the posts I am planning about my reading journey with the book itself! :)

Thank you for that! I too, hope all the lovelies I’ve pulled to read this month turn out to be stellar & amongst my favourites – I’ll hop over to your blog and check out what your going to be doing, too! Thanks for visiting me and sharing your kind thoughts! I look forward to your next visit!

    • Hallo, Hallo Avada!

:) I’m so thankful you’ve dropped by to let me know this is your 1st SFN! You’re going to have a wicked sweet time participating and visiting everyone whose scheduling posts, reviews & wicked surprises throughout the month! I visited your blog – love the look of it! You have given your blog a lovely personality! I look forward to your return visits! I’m starting off by reading Far Orbit an anthology of Space Opera short stories pubbed by World Weaver Press! You’ll start to see me winking on Twitter with reading captures of joy as I move through the anthology – in fact, if you’re on Twitter let me know – I’ll be tweeting throughout the month – random convos and spontaneous reading shares as I make my way through the list of books I’m reviewing! :) You can read my tweets even if your not on Twitter, too.

I look forward to visiting your blog in return – seeing where your sci-fi adventures take you this month! Thanks for the visit and I look forward to our future conversations!
