On why I created this special niche of bookish joy:
I was visiting my friend Maggie’s blog for her 30 Days of Thankfulness posts (November 2013), of which, I happily consumed today in earnest! When I noticed that she had a curious header on her blog that mentioned: Events & Read-A-Longs! I was thinking for while now that I should have a place where I could filter all my read-a-long and reading challenge posts but how to do it and how to organise it felt a bit daunting! Therefore, I am thankful she lead the way! I am going to move them away from my “Joyfully Absorbing Lit” page and store them here instead! :) You will still find my personal reading challenge for Inspirational Fiction, Science Fiction & Fantasy, & the Classics Club List all have their own pages! Cheers!

Whilst redeeming myself by completing the in-progress reading challenges, readalongs, & readathons from August 2013-December 2013,… I am embarking on setting new goals for a new chapter on the Eve of beginning: 2014! Whilst I have half a foot hinged in the first months of my blog’s launching and a firm stance in the future, I am keenly happy to all the lovely reading adventures which still await me! :)

I have wanted to participate and show my support for *Banned Book Week* at my local library for YEARs! I am not sure about you, but it *always!* sneaks up on me! Not this year! Thankfully, due to making my rounds to Bout’er blogs for Bout of Books, 8.0 I came across this badge! It links back to Epic Reads which explains the whole point! Therefore, between 30 September – 6 October 2013, I will be hand-selecting which banned books I will be reading whilst we celebrate the freedom of choice and the freedom to read!
