  1. Any book that can help people feel comfortable in their own skin—including excessivel large skin (I’ve dealt with weight issues for years)—is a good thing! This book sounds like a very positive, enjoyable take on being overweight. Yay, Monica! Thanks for the review, ladies :)

    • Isn’t that the truth, Ms. Donna Marie!

I was so touched by the kindness of Ms. Parker to let me speak to her on the phone for my first telephone interview of an author, and her willingness to be so open and forthright about her life as she answered my questions.

The book touches on every aspect of her life, including how food and weight played a key role in how she viewed her own self image. I think her honesty is to be commended and the way in which she chose to tell her story was incredibly brave in my opinion. It was a true honour to get to know her on a more personal level and I am thankful my two showcases translated this for you!
